清永安雄 作品展「天花（てんげ） ─ Heavenly Flowers ─」展示風景紹介
2026年10月1日から12月27日まで、京都写真美術館 1Fにて、清永安雄 作品展「天花 ─ Heavenly Flowers ─」を開催しています。
本展では、花をモチーフとした新作シリーズ「天花」より、全23点の作品を展示しています。
花本来の美しさと生命力を表現する「天花」
古来より、花は生命や美しさ、儚さの象徴として人々に親しまれてきました。
「天花」は、花が本来持つ「存在の輝き」に目を向け、その造形や色彩、生命力を表現した作品シリーズです。清永安雄はこれまで、写真を出発点にさまざまな表現技法を取り入れ、被写体に新たなかたちと意味を与える作品を制作してきました。しかし、本シリーズでは、これまでの写真加工や表現手法を可能な限り削ぎ落とし、花そのものと向き合うことで、花が生まれながらに持つ美しさや、人々を惹きつける不思議な魅力を直接的に表現し、花本来の存在感に迫る作品となっています。
多彩なサイズと組作品によるダイナミックな展示
本展では、60×60mmの小さなプリントからF40号サイズ（803×1000mm）の大型作品まで、幅広いサイズの作品を展示しています。作品のサイズや色彩によって生まれる印象の違いを通して、花の多様な表情を紹介しています。また、組作品も本展の大きな見どころです。一点ずつの花の美しさに加え、複数の作品が連なることで生まれる色彩の広がりや力強さも楽しめる展示となっています。

From October 1 to December 27, 2026, Yasuo Kiyonaga’s photo exhibition Heavenly Flowers is on display at the Kyoto Museum of Photography. This exhibition features all 23 works in his new flower-oriented series.
Heavenly Flowers: The Natural Beauty and Vitality of Flowers
Since ancient times, flowers have been cherished by people as symbols of life, beauty, and transience.
Heavenly Flowers is a series that brings attention to flowers’ natural radiance, depicting their shapes, colors, and vitality. Over the years, Yasuo Kiyonaga has used photography as a starting point, incorporating a variety of techniques to create works that grant his subjects new meaning. However, for this series, he kept editing and stylistic elements to a minimum, focusing on the flowers themselves to capture their innate beauty, mysterious charm, and natural presence.
A Dynamic Exhibition Featuring Works of Various Sizes and Multi-Panel Works
The exhibition features works in a wide range of sizes, including smaller 60×60 millimeter prints and large prints measuring 803×1000 millimeters. Utilizing size and color to create differing impressions, the exhibition depicts the many sides of flowers. The multi-panel works are a major highlight of this exhibition. Guests will be able to enjoy the beauty of individual flowers in addition to the breadth and intensity of color that emerges from bringing them together.
